Eclectically blending holistic therapies for your wellbeing……
Ethos, Training and Practice…
Dip, Couns. Reg. MBACP.
The foundations of my Counselling training, which started in 2013 are based upon Rogerian theory (Person Centred). However, as my training progressed, I became increasing passionate (and still am), about the differing theoretical approaches, that enable and empower clients, offering the opportunity for healing, improved wellbeing and progression, at a therapeutically deeper level.
My ethos is eclectic, and I take all holistic factors into consideration such as bio/socio/psycho elements for example, when offering therapy.
I have a full CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am a registered member of the BACP, qualifications achieved to date include:
Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Alcohol, Drug and Substance Misuse Awareness Certificate
Diploma Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (BABCP) (Pending)
Additional Certificates, Training and Client Practice Experience:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Prevent / Safeguarding certificate
Working with adult survivors of childhood abuse
Working with children of substance misusing parents
Essential Drug and Alcohol Services (April 16 – March 17)
I have gained valuable experience working with addicts, but more specifically with their carers and loved ones (carers support). I currently volunteer and work therapeutically with adult survivors of childhood abuse within Hurting to Healing formally Dorset Action on Abuse. October 2016 to present.
As part of CPD (continuing professional development (BACP requirement), I am training within Dorset Rape Crisis Support Centre.
I practice general counselling and psychotherapy for clients within my private practice.
